Ask The Authors

If you want to ask the authors a question, now is the time. (SEE END OF POST FOR UPDATE or go straight to the FAQ Page.)

Use the “Leave a Reply” box below to ask questions of Ben Woodcroft, Henry Archer and Theodore Rose.

If you have a question, please direct it to a specific author or a specific book, where possible.

More general questions about magick may be answered by authors who take an interest in the question, or they may not. I want the FAQs to be about the books you are using.

We won’t answer questions about other authors, regarding the quality or validity of their work, but you may ask questions such as, “Can this book be used at the same time as the book by…?”

If you have a question, please post it below. You won’t get a reply now, but the questions will be sent to the authors along with questions collected over the past few months, and I will then assemble the pages. I want to get this ready soon, so please ask now.

I’VE NOW CLOSED COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS.

The same questions were being repeated, and activity here had died down.

You can fine The FAQs here.

  1. Question for Theodore Rose and Ben Woodcroft: Are any of the master protection rituals (The Circle Banishing, The Body of Protection and The Illumination) not appropriate to perform before or after working with Lucifer and The Hidden Demons? I’ve been told that angels and demons are enemies and that one should choose a side to work with.

    1. This will be answered more fully in the FAQs but the concept of angels and demons being ‘enemies’ belongs to certain groups only, and many, and perhaps most, occultists know that angels and demons can and do work in harmony. There are many ways of interpreting this but overall there is no conflict when using both and there are some systems that work effectively by combining angelic work with that of demons. I’ll let the authors add their thoughts but want to put to rest the idea that you have to choose to go light or dark – these are all spirits and entities of power, not of light or dark, and many angels can perform deeds that are very far from what people expect of angels, while demons are equally skilled in acts of peace and understanding. Some minor occult groups are relentlessly promoting a dogma that states demons hate angels. Many expert occultists know this is basic thinking and that the cooperative harmony can be very powerful. The books published here don’t cover this but I do publish books on both subjects and it is therefore important to say the conflict only exists for those who choose to choose a side, when no such choice needs to be made. (It is wise, however, not to banish too close to a demonic working as Theodore Rose states in the book – I am asking him to expand on this in the FAQ. Banishing and protection can and should remain a part of your practice.)

  2. My question is for Mr. Rose regarding “Lucifer And The Hidden Demons. I know that there are an infinite number of reasons one would seek to manifest something in their life, but what if what I want to manifest doesn’t align with any of the demons listed in the book? Would it be best to summon Lucifer and ask him to work with me directly on what is a fairly complex issue, or would it be wiser to summon Lucifer and ask that he guide me to the demon(s) who would be most likely to bring the result I want. Thank you so much for the book, I’m finding it absolutely integral to my magick moving forward.

  3. Here is a question for any of the authors here. I myself, work with both Angels and Demons (and considering the origins of the word Demon, being the Greek Daimon, and that NOT all Angels are fluffy bunnies anyway, I don’t have an internal spiritual conundrum type problem with this). Some people say you should either work with one or the other, but I honor both Dark and Light in as balanced a way as I can anyway. What (if any is needed?), is a good time gap to leave between working with the two?

I don’t know why my comment above posted twice, if that’s what you mean. What blog are you referring to, if it’s not this one? Did I miss my question being answered elsewhere or previously?

        1. I understand. It’s just that the email notification I received contained the verbiage from the poster I quoted, but when I went to my comment on the blog, there was no verbiage, only the “like.” That’s the only reason I was confused. Thanks!

  4. My questions are for Mr. Rose:

    1. I am starting two online businesses at once.

    a. One is as a B2B (Business To Business) content writer, targeting higher level (and higher paying) clients who needs authority level content on a regular basis. I am a good content writer and becoming an excellent writer through good training.
    b. The other is as a PPC (Pay Per Call) marketer. Providing high quality “leads” (persons highly predisposed to purchase advertised product or service) after talking to client’s sales rep whose contact info I provide via ads placed online. I am getting trained in this business through people who are successful in it also.

How best to use demon rituals for accelerated and sustained success in these ventures?

2.Can I dovetail a ritual with a demon and with an angel at the same time for a targeted result without generating a conflict of some sort? If so, are there exceptions?

    3. What is the focus of the next book you are working on?

Mr. Rose, thank you very much for your responses.

    1. Thank you for the questions. The first one is too unique and personal to you for an FAQ but I believe the best way to apply magick to situations such as this is to meditate on the powers at length – read about them all and imagine their potential, and then see what a range of potential change you can create in the many situations you will face. The more familiar you are with the content of the book, the easier it becomes, but you then need to contemplate your situation and all the weaknesses that need to be strengthened, the potentials that need to be increased, the people you need on your side, the others you need to hold back, and in this way, by steadily applying powers where you can affect change you can make great progress. There is no ‘best way’ other than to find magick required by your situation. I’ll pass this to the author and he may add more. The question about dovetailing is often asked and I hope all the authors will offer their contributions on this subject.

      1. Thanks much. Your answer to my first question confirms what I suspected which strategy may be best to employ to achieve optimized results with each business. Will be interested to see if Mr. Rose sees an other angle in response to my options.

        Okay about question # 2.
