Ask The Authors

If you want to ask the authors a question, now is the time. (SEE END OF POST FOR UPDATE or go straight to the FAQ Page.)

Use the “Leave a Reply” box below to ask questions of Ben Woodcroft, Henry Archer and Theodore Rose.

If you have a question, please direct it to a specific author or a specific book, where possible.

More general questions about magick may be answered by authors who take an interest in the question, or they may not. I want the FAQs to be about the books you are using.

We won’t answer questions about other authors, regarding the quality or validity of their work, but you may ask questions such as, “Can this book be used at the same time as the book by…?”

If you have a question, please post it below. You won’t get a reply now, but the questions will be sent to the authors along with questions collected over the past few months, and I will then assemble the pages. I want to get this ready soon, so please ask now.

I’VE NOW CLOSED COMMENTS AND QUESTIONS.

The same questions were being repeated, and activity here had died down.

You can fine The FAQs here.

  1. Although I’ve only read “Lucifer & The Hidden Demons,” my question welcomes all of the authors’ opinions.
Is there a recommended “system” beyond Pathworking, should one want to deepen relationships with one or more of the demons, such as for learning purposes, patronship/matronship, etc? I enjoy the pathworkings, but I struggle with the desire for some sort of “deeper connection” at times once the pathworking is over and I’m left to my own mundane devices, while at the same time, I don’t want to pester the demon(s). Any thoughts or recommendations? Many Thanks!

  2. I ask, how may I attack an hidden enemy ( I work in a place with many people and I am sure that same of them are my enemy but I can’t find who of them) through Lucifer and hidden demons

  3. For Henry Archer:
Thank you for your book on financial magick. I bought, read and am using it. I am amazed that you also use pathworkings like Theodore Rose does in his book. For me, this has been the most workable technique. I thought that that type of pathworking was something unique to his group, since I had never seen nor heard of it before. Obviously, it works for entities other than demons. I would definitely like to learn about pathworking, and how to construct new pathworkings for entities I encounter and research. Please, please, please, please, where can I learn about pathworkings? Please give references that will allow successful application. I’ll have children sing you praises. (Hey you readers settle down! I’m not begging and groveling. Well as it turns out I am, but I’m not proud about it OK!? Its just that that stuff really works)
Anyway, I’m looking forward to any other books you write.

    Thank you.

    1. I will let the author add his own answers but can say that Pathworking has been a major part of many traditions at various times. It was a major thrust in the work of the Golden Dawn at one point, for example. I believe that it is found throughout modern magic, but often given different names. It is certainly not unique to The Order of Unveiled Faces, but their particular method is the simplest and most effective I have seen. Again, it is not unique, but is less well known. What Henry Archer offers is similar and I will see what he has to say to expand on the subject.
